About Us
Why is the elephant important?
In many cultures the elephant is looked at as a symbol of mental strength, power, and stamina. However, the elephant also can represent gentleness, care, wisdom, and loyalty. Here in our practice, we may look at the client as someone who can have the ability to persevere through the stressors of life. We also know that we need kindness, gentleness and peace in order to help someone feel safe enough to keep going.
Why the Ladybug?
In most cultures, ladybugs symbolize innocence, new beginnings from humble roots, true love, good fortune and good luck, positive resolutions to problems you are facing in life and the ability and pathway to making the right choices as you continue through life.
Staff at MB believe that human beings are gentle and fragile creatures that need nurturing in order to continue to grow in the path. We believe that individuals have the power to make the most beneficial choices for their life.
We take a strong approach to treatment because we know the client wants the change or most likely, they will not be reaching out for assistance. But we also are mindful that people have most likely experienced stressors or past trauma that keeps them from achieving a life of fulfillment. We want to empower the client to believe they are being cared for but also be empowered in the therapeutic process.
